The Vocal and Dance Ensemble of the Prácheň region opens a program which continues with the participation of selected foreign ensembles. Direction: Karel Krasnický, accompanying comment: Pavla Kuchtová

 

22.30 h       Strike up, little piper, as you wish, you know very well that I am fond of dancing – House of culture

A hell of a ball - local musicians and their guests from Moravia take the floor for dance and entertainment. Direction and accompanying comment: Jaroslav Bašta and Irena Novotná

Music from medieval taverns played by the groups Peregrin from Prague, Arcus from Chomutov, Trittfest from Germany, DiGrease’s Buffoon Theatre from White Russia, The Cantors from Nový Bydžov. Direction: Peter Suchopárek

Spiritual music concert. Performers: the vocal and instrumental ensemble Chairé from Příbram – Czech Republic, art director: Josef Krček, and the Steyrische Bordunmusik from Styria/Austria, art director: Sepp Pichler. Accompanying comment: Alfred Strejček, Direction: Josef Krček

 

10.30 h        May God save us in good health in our mother land – Castle courtyard

A regional program with the participation of bands and ensembles from the environs of Strakonice as well as from the greater Prácheň region. Direction: Irena Novotná and Zdeněk Vejvoda, accompanying comment: Jan Tříska

 

12.30h     Come on, my sweet girl, jump about, otherwise… – Ceremonial room – Castle courtyard

Frivolous songs accompanied by bagpipes – nothing for moralists. Direction and accompanying comment: Zdeněk Bláha

 

14.30 h       Bagpipers’ wanderings about Moravia and Silesia – Open-air cinema

16.00 h      There was a bagpipe playing – Little park in front of the open-air cinema.

A program for small children. Performers: the Young Bagpipers’ Music and the children’s folkloristic ensemble “Prácheňáček” from Strakonice. Direction: Patrik Ředina

 

17.00 h  A meeting with the Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of Southern Bohemia – House of culture

Performing: the Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of Southern Bohemia, from České Budějovice, with soloists playing on bagpipes, under the baton of Jaroslav Krček. Accompanying comment: Pavla Kuchtová, Direction: Josef Krček

 

20.00 h       Bagpiper, blow the bag... – Open-air cinema

Evening gala concert of the best from the repertoire of Czech and foreign ensembles and soloists. Direction and accompanying comment: Zdeněk Bláha

Joyful playing and storytelling with bagpipers bands from Strakonice and Domažlice in front of the Township Brewery. Direction and accompanying comment: Josef Kuneš
